“Art & Spirit” in Residency at First Church Boston, MA

As part of First Church, Boston’s Art & Spirit Series, Diane will be artist in residence for the week of March 16th-24th. This series celebrates the vibrant way the arts contribute to the life of the spirit by showcasing a different art form each month and displaying related art work in their gallery. During the month of March, to complement Diane’s performance of A Thousand Doorways Kurdish artist Selahattin Sep‘s work will be on display. Gallery hours are Wednesday – Saturday 3:00-6:00 pm though individual appointments can also be made at other times by contacting First Church. 617-267-6730 or email firstname.lastname@example.org

March 16th: 12:30-2:00 pm “Tell Me a Story” workshop! Have fun in this inter-generational storytelling workshop where young and old practice telling stories both old and new. This event is free and open to the public. Join us at 12:00 noon for Pizza just before the workshop!
March 17th: 11:00 am to noon Diane participates in the First Church Service along with Andrew Mazlum Aytac a traditional Kurdish saz player. Diane will share a story for young people and give the sermon: “On the Threshold of Story.” A reception with the artists follows.
March 17th: 12:30-1:30 pm Fairy Legends of Ireland: Accompanied by Celtic harper Margot Chamberlain, Diane brings storytelling jewels and music from the Emerald Isle. This event is free and open to the public.
March 22nd-24th Performances of A Thousand Doorways. Tickets at Eventbrite: This event will be free to the First Church congregation and to members of the Kurdish community. A small ticket fee of $20-$25 for all other patrons.
