Don’t miss: FAIR: Family Adventures in Reading. On Saturday mornings starting April 1st, 2017. Diane will lead groups of parents and children (first grade and older ) in a dynamic reading and discussion experience that encourages dialogue among those with different perspectives and fosters expressive storytelling skills. Each Saturday, two new picture books, selected for artistic excellence and narrative appeal, will be explored. The discussion around the books will explore character-building concepts such as courage, fairness, and persistence. The parents, grandparents or guardians that come with the children share in the development of critical thinking skills with their children in an engaged and stimulating environment. These sessions are interactive, and include not only group discussions, but also games and activities related to the stories.
FREE and open to the public with sign-up.
