Winter Solstice Ticket Information 2015

THE WINTER SOLSTICE IN LEGEND AND SONG Celebrate the Winter Solstice with classic evergreen myths, haunting legends of light and entertaining tales surrounded by traditional and original music and song. Featured stories include the beautiful “Legend of the Mistletoe” from Scandinavia, humorous English Wassail traditions, and the poignant Greek legend “The Coming of the Days of Peace.” Master storyteller Diane Edgecomb gives us a fascinating look at the stories behind winter holiday traditions. Celtic harper Margot Chamberlain and multi-instrumentalist Tom Megan bring songs evocative of the season and lovely instrumental melodies to round out the event.   Check this webpage for news of cancellations due to extreme weather conditions or news that a performance has been sold out.

Friday, December 18th & Saturday, December 19th at 8pm at the historic

Loring-Greenough House, 12 South Street, Jamaica Plain, MA. Tickets $25

Thanks for sharing another Winter Solstice season with us – we are delighted that so many have made The Winter Solstice in Legend and Song a traditional part of their holiday celebration. ~ Diane
