THE WINTER SOLSTICE IN LEGEND AND SONG Celebrate the Winter Solstice with classic evergreen myths, haunting legends of light and entertaining tales surrounded by traditional and original music and song. Featured stories include the beautiful “Legend of the Mistletoe” from Scandinavia, humorous English Wassail traditions, and the poignant Greek legend “The Coming of the Days of Peace.” Master storyteller Diane Edgecomb gives us a fascinating look at the stories behind winter holiday traditions. Celtic harper Margot Chamberlain and multi-instrumentalist Tom Megan bring songs evocative of the season and lovely instrumental melodies to round out the event.
