Celebrate Groundhog’s Day with “Nature Tales and Eco-Fun !”
Celebrate Groundhog’s Day with Storyteller Diane’s “Nature Tales and Eco-Fun!!” These interactive stories and songs are fun for the whole family and nature too, so bring out your favorite stuffed animals and invite all the Groundhogs in the hood to come as we cozy up for stories about all the simple things we can do to help the planet.
Nature Tales and Eco-Fun! has participatory tales and songs like “Kate’s Acorn.” Kate wants to Save the World, but when she starts by saving a bunch of squirmy earthworms she helps a little acorn grow up strong. Before the story is done, the whole audience is acting out a trio of funny bugs as we learn just how important soil creatures are to the life of plants. This original story is complemented by “The Garden Song” by David Mallet accompanied by musical husband Tom Megan on guitar. In “The Tailor” the whole audience is invited to join in as we go on a recycling adventure with a very funny tailor! Diane’s retelling of this classic Jewish folktale gives us ideas on ways we can recycle more and more things every day! Lots of fun- the whole audience is telling the story by the end.
