EARTHY STORIES AND SONGS! FOR NATURE AND ECO-AWARENESS:
1) The Tailor: (Grades K-2) This recycling tale shows how we can reuse our favorite objects. Highly interactive, the students will be cutting and sewing along with the Tailor from the beginning. By the end, they will be able to join in on the whole story. Diane’s version is based on a Jewish folktale. Curriculum tie-ins: Recycling, folktales, traditional tales, storytelling.
2) Kate’s Acorn and the Inch by Inch song: (Grades K-2) Kate wants to help all creatures and save the world even if it includes helping earthworms! 3) What Now, Cloacina?!!: (Grades K-3) Learning about the water cycle has never been this fun! In the end, the power of evaporation takes Cloacina up to the clouds where she becomes the rain that fills up her pond again. In these traditional tales from cultures around the world we can find the origins of the themes and characters of modern day Superheroes.
