The performance complements Howland Public Library’s 2018 Summer Reading Theme for Adults – this year, the theme is Music! Midsummer Magic is a story and music celebration of the Summer Solstice drawn from cultures around the world. This delightful and entertaining performance brings to life ancient legends of transformation, tree-spirits and fireflies.

In this intergenerational storytelling workshop, we’ll play with the basics of storytelling: learning how to re-tell a classic folktale in our own words and exploring storytelling games that help us discover anecdotes from our own life to share.
Diane will be artist in residence for the week of March 16th-24th at First Church Boston as part of their acclaimed Art & Spirit series. At the Sunday service on March 17th she will be joined by Kurdish musician Andrew Mazlum Aytac on saz.
