Diane Edgecomb – Living Myth

As the constellation Virgo or Astraea rises this September so does Astrae’s story ~ this Greek goddess felt such compassion for humanity she asked to be turned into a star so that she might watch over us and never leave.  Her tears at our travails transformed into the lovely Asters whose name means “star.” For my Language of Flowers performances this fall I will be telling this myth for the first time.
