Don't miss Once Upon a Halloween! a Video-Streaming Extravaganza to Celebrate Halloween 2020! Diane has pulled out all the Virtual stops and indulged in Green-screen Trickery and Fun-wig Witchery to create a fully participatory event for families sure to bring a smile and a Cackle!

Diane will share stories for two groups via two different Zooms for Odyssey Day School to celebrate their International Week! Pre-K-3rd grade will hear the wintertime Grimm's fairy tale Snow White and Rose Red a classic story gathered in Germany at the start of Europe's renewed interest in folk literature. The older students will explore adaptations by hearing Diane's version of the Aesop's fable "Tortoise and the Hare" in which Tortoise loves to read (letters!) and the Hare is a speed reader who misses the most important part of the book he races through. The part about the Ice Cream Cone of course! An additional look at how different cultures tell the same story will focus on the Kurdish version of Cinderella. Gathered by Diane from Kurdish tellers on one of her story gathering journeys. This is Diane's fifth visit to Odyssey School.

Diane brings her interactive family Video "Once Upon a Fairy Tale" to entertain library patrons of the Delaware City Library. The Video will be available to library patrons for the entire week of March 22nd - March 30th. Perfect for viewing around the time of St. Patrick's Day, the video includes the Irish tale of "Gilly Dirtyfoot!" Harp accompaniment and green screen magic rounds out the storytelling experience.

Wonderfully entertaining and yet rich in its ‘care-full’ message, Blue Planet includes Diane’s original water conservation tale “What Now, Cloacina?!” the hilarious story of a water sprite who dives into Boston’s sewage system in search of her reservoir. This special family entertainment is packed with stories and songs of nature’s awakening including talking earthworms and a  participatory recycling adventure! What shines through the entire performance is a love and respect for our place in nature; with many ideas communicated about how we can make a difference.

Mattapoisett Land Trust's annual fall celebration, "Salty’s Soiree" will take place Saturday October 28th this year. From 5:30-7:30pm, join MLT for fall fun at Dunseith Gardens, located on the corner of Rt. 6 and North St. We will have a bonfire, s’mores making, and some awesome stories provided by storyteller, Diane Edgecomb! Bring the whole family down for an unforgettable evening under the full moon.

Diane is the featured performer at Beals Memorial Library's Spooktacular Halloween Party! Open to all families and children. Costumes encouraged, but not required. Bring your camera!
