The older students will explore adaptations by hearing Diane's version of the Aesop's fable "Tortoise and the Hare" in which Tortoise loves to read (letters!) and the Hare is a speed reader who misses the most important part of the book he races through. The part about the Ice Cream Cone of course! An additional look at how different cultures tell the same story will focus on the Kurdish version of Cinderella. Gathered by Diane from Kurdish tellers on one of her story gathering journeys. This is Diane's fifth visit to Odyssey School.
